The ABB FBV36TE030RV is a 30 Amp, 3-pole molded case circuit breaker from the Record Plus® product line. Built on the FB100 frame, this breaker is used in commercial and industrial electrical distribution systems operating at 240 Vac, 480 Vac, and 600Y/347 Vac. When you're replacing an existing breaker, the goal is usually to match the original equipment as closely as possible, including the frame size, pole configuration, trip characteristics, and connection arrangement.
The FBV36TE030RV uses a factory-installed thermal-magnetic trip unit with fixed long-time and fixed instantaneous protection. The thermal portion responds to sustained overload conditions, while the magnetic trip function responds to short-circuit events. Because the trip unit is not field interchangeable, the breaker maintains the protection characteristics specified for the original application.
