The Siemens FD62T250 is a 250 Amp thermal-magnetic trip unit for compatible FD-frame molded case circuit breakers. This trip unit is the protective component inside the breaker assembly that responds to overload and short-circuit conditions. When you're servicing an existing breaker, having the correct FD frame and amp rating helps maintain the original breaker setup.
The FD62T250 combines thermal overload protection and magnetic short-circuit protection in a single trip unit. It is rated for 600 VAC and is used with breaker configurations rated for 22 kAIC at 600V and 35 kAIC at 480V.
Designed for FD-frame applications, the Siemens FD62T250 supports breaker configurations with line- and load-side lug connections and accommodates larger conductors, including 6 AWG to 350 kcmil copper wire and 4 AWG to 350 kcmil aluminum wire.
