The 8903SPO10V02 Type S lighting contactor is built for one job—reliable lighting control without wasting energy. If you’ve worked with electrically held contactors before, you already know they constantly draw power just to stay closed. This one doesn’t. It’s mechanically held, so it only uses power when switching. After that, it stays put. Simple as that.
It’s rated for 60 amps and uses a 2-pole, normally open setup, which makes it a good fit for most standard lighting applications. You also get a 110/120V AC coil (50/60 Hz) out of the box, and if your system changes later, the coil can be swapped without replacing the whole unit.
This is an open-style contactor, so it’s meant to go inside a panel or enclosure—not out in the open. That gives you flexibility depending on how your system is laid out. And when it comes to maintenance, you’re not stuck throwing it away if something wears out. The contacts can be replaced, which saves time and money over the long run.
